All problems are because of poverty and because of multiple races, ethnicity, religion and languages (which we cannot get rid of and which is unique to any country-should take this positively, as the former French President told the Indian PM-India is a world in itself). Now the various problem of population growth along with the influx across the border of poor people who believe in the Islamic ideology-a source of terror for the whole world, something akin to believers of Nazi ideology (during 1940s) or communism in USA.
Strength of this ideology comes from Saudi Arabian oil-for Arabic language was at one time spoken by a small tribe in North Africa with Egypt speaking Coptic language.
Now the Indian Govt could something slowly to prevent greater problems later on:
1> Remove all permits for Indian Citizens for every state-we are all equally no matter which party of the country we visit. That should be in the constitution.
2> Increase economic activity in North East along with helping Bangladesh to come up economically (something USA has been doing in bordering Mexico). For it near impossible to control the human migration in search of better life. Poor Turkish migrated to western Europe or poor Romanians to Russia(even under Iron curtain).
At least start to do something before another bordering country starts to take advantage by supplying economic carrot.

Dear Sir,
No problem with premise that this is an economic problem and hence should be dealt on a humanitarian basis. But there is no denying the fact that Bangladeshis do not come as guests to enrich India but as usurpers who wants voting rights so they can debase the local electorate with retrograde values they are brought up with. All they provide India is endless supply of terrorists and slums. Mexicans have built the agriculture & construction sector in USA; What has Bangladeshi's built. The slums and terror cells.

As an American Govt officials recently said- Not all Muslims are terrorist, but practically all the terrorist are Muslims today.
