No, I do not think we can bypass the US. The 123 Deal is the Gate way for NSG activities in India.
Self Reliant in energy is definitely what we should aim for. But achieving it is another thing. And solely depending upon it will not solve any of our problems.

Even Dr. Kalam had hoped to achieve 25% of the total generation from the renewable one by 2030 AD. That means getting to that goal is really a big task.
