Suggestion: Women Officers must have direct hotline with Defense Minister. Women are respected in India, in our religion, In our politics, at home and inevery front. Defence Officer exploit not only women offiers but new officers and jawans. I saw a house in Herbert Pur In Dehradun district where jawaans were sent by soem high ranking offiers to build his house and take care of his farm ther. I was stunned to see that active service jawaans were working there. It is pity of our country that a jawaan cannot refuse to do personal job. I wish Indian Government relinquish such power of these so called genetlemen officers who seldom are genntlemen.Few years ago JCOS rank were greatly respected, now yesetrady cadet who becomes 2nd lieutenant is so abusive to these JCOS and NCOS, lack of respect and unworthy of being calle an officer. Un beleivebale. Why JCO keeps mum as he wants to be a Honorary Captain so poor man listens. Wake up Indian Forces Officers and do not degrade our Armed forces. The article clearly says "Neha's complaint is the fourth such one to have been filed by women officers in the armed forces. The court of inquiries which went into these allegations DID NOT FIND SUBSTANCE IN EARLIER cases". So 75% of these cases are false. Dude...you should be really mathematically challenged to completely assume that this General is guilty. Doesnt he have a chance to tell his version of the story? Women misuse law most of the time. It is common knowledge that the Dowry Harrasment law is misused 98% of the time. The General is INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY. He also has HUMAN RIGHTS TO BE TREATED WITH EQUAL RESPECT . Mr. Chengappa - looks like someone in your family are in army, thats why you are defending the general. Proper investigation should be done - for them its easy to destroy the evidence. As a country we need army for world politics - but they are useless for civilians and the army people should be kept away from the society near border areas. If they come and live along with civilians they will misuse the power.

Gr8, to c u r opinion guys. I thnk all above to have opened my thoughts, on how U percieve Military. With me being in the Army for last 14 yrs, i did not realise, some of the so called responsible indian citizens feel this way! Anyway.... all i can say is let law take its own course. There is judiciary in the military, nd its faster nd fair than other that v have.

Sandeep, I am very sorry to say army guys carry their misplaced arrogance. For instance if Iam doctor or engineer thats only at work not beyond that. You hve no respect for fellow citizens. You command respect and seek undue advantage from civilians let be in trains or public places with sheer muscle power which you gained with tax payers money. A clear case of rift between army and civilians can be seen in Pune.

Mr. Sandeep, good to hear that you are from army. What I want the Army and Police to realize is that , in India there are millions of people who work hard and get 3 to 5 thousands of salary. But they live with dignity and pride - if you see police, though they get very good salary and perks still behind bribes claiming that they are underpaid. I don't think you can find a police who never had taken bribe - this is a fact but no one wants to know and realize.
