The existing GPS satellites are sufficient for Navigation.ISRO can have commercial success with its Antrix Corporation and can use that money for such ventures. It can do something of more use to society using the TAX PAYERS money.

My dear, This regional Navigation system is not for u. Ur use is just a by-product. It is for Indian-armed forces. And it is a very useful use of TAX payers money as it helps your family from not being raped by pakis and chinkus. But no one can protect u from Indian jihadis and CPM-carrots.
The logic is simple.. Though I am hardcare USA fan, USA is for USA interest not always Indian interests.
GPS is for USA military other uses are for USA companies to make money. In an event of a war, they can mis-use it in any way they want and it is their right.. So CHINKU-PRC has started one project for its own.
So for our security we too needs one. After all our region is not so friendly and we have no one as friends in any neighbourhood.
So we need an Indian GPS to protect India, not a USA GPS, which USA needs to dominate the world..
