Check the reality why the nuclear deal is important. The back bone of every economy and country is Energy and its proper use, In ancient and medivial period, the main energy source was farming and its crop and India was lucky due to its geoagraphical location and climatic condition that we enjoyed the golden Era, but soon after medivial period the industrial revolution began, and europe become the leader by knowing the proper use of coal and petrol and thats the only point they built big ships and conquered USA, Australia, sounth America and many other continents and nations. This is the cause they are still the front runner in the world due to technological advantage. At the same time India was not producing the enough energy which matches with its growing demand and run parallel to the developed nations. Now days energy demand is growing with exponential rate, and India is toatlly failed to match those target and thats why we are not able to create much employment as China have, Thats why we are under the debts of world bank and most of our industries are running sick, either closed or at the verge of being closed. Japan has plan to make cities under sea because they have enough energy to meet the growing demand and provide the space to growing population. India is not able to built even world class land transit system. If India has to meet the growing demand of growing population and provide enough food and space in 22nd century so Nuclear deal is only alternate.

What a crap and headless thought. Looks like your mother grew being a beggar and not a guy who would try to be self-dependent. There are various ways available in Indeia for Energy generation. India is not US or Europe where you have Sun does Hide-And-Seek . We can tap Solar Energy. We can tap enormus water to generate Hydro power and at the same time save millions of people being ravaged by Flood. Did you guys think oabout these resources? Don't look to US for every thing at the cost of mortgaging our motherland. Try to have a lateral and rational thinking.

It is a faulty concept that has gone into marrow that if India has to progress, India should go fo nuke energy from U.S. Perhaps, there is a heavy brain drain in top think tank! We can be comfortable with hydro-electric power that has to be added immediately as the source of water from rivers are wasted! Our engineers are lethargic nowadays. It is a phenomenon found aplenty in our nation to talk, advise without doing the work. We perhaps suffer due to reluctance to perform in anticipation of early money. We have to bring hydro electric power generation in addition to wind and solar energy till we succeed in thorium power which should not take more than 5 yrs from now if our engineers leave that pessimistic and lethargic thoughts and start immediately perform! We will have 500 yrs of power once thorium starts generating. This will give rural employment, rural power inclusive of rural electrification! Let us stop copying the west for everything learning to utilize our own power! We have better intelligence than west! Let our engineers start performance instead of talking and talking politicizing every thing!

Question is same from where we will get the technology, we have nuclear technology since 1965 inherited from Russia, did the first nuclear explosion in 1971, but couldnot able to develop our own technology till date. This is the reason we are relying on USA and western world for our energy needs.
