Our country badly needs a uniform civil code. People of different religions may follow their religion within their homes and places of worship. But when they are on the streets, they must be regarded as plain Indians. No veils (Burqa) should be allowed in public places for security reasons. If muslims are backward, it is their own fault. There are very rich muslims in India and very poor people of other faiths as well. They (Muslims) are more interested in Madarsa education which is irrelevant in current times. Hardworking taxpayers money must not be gives in alms to useless retrograde persons of any religion. Muslims must condemn all acts of terrorism. They never protest or demonstrate when hindus are killed in blasts but resort to violence immediately when muslims are killed. They do not protest when MF Hussain portrays Bharat Mata in nude but a cartoon in a foreign country is enough excuse for them to take to streets and damage our national property. They support Iran which went back on its agreement to suply gas at a mutually agreed upon price. This gas could have been used by muslims too. Our muslims are very eager to prove to outside muslim world ( which cares two hoots for them) that they are with them. Arab muslims do not take Muslims of Indian sub-continent seriously as these muslims were all Hindus and were converted to Islam by force. If they could not even resist the outsider invaders and surrendered easily then they are not worthy of any identity.

Who r u to decide when will u talk about uniform civil code?
There can be no special treatment for a religion, after all muslims r not the only minorities in india. therefore we need a unifrom civil code.
You get out the barbaric practises mentioned in a 10,000 yr old book. Before removing the brahmins from Temples, why dont u try shaving all maulvis in ur mosques?

i shave my regularly what i can say about someone else beard...it is upto the moulvi to shave there beard...if they dont what can i do. Do you see any comparision between a caste system and shaving the beard of a moulvi??:)
