This deal means that the hurdles faced by India in procuring nuclear technology and fuel have been removed for good. Moreover, all other current restrictions on India's access to America's high and dual technologies will also be withdrawn as a result. Delhi will be able to do much more business with the US in fields barred to Indians hitherto, with the expectation that the volume of trade between the two countries will double within the next two years from the current US$ 24 billion. Who says USA has the best technology in the world. Indians are also capable of making high breeader reactors, and mind it its totally developed in India, this technology is used only by Japan and the french. USA has closed its research in developing energy from Thirioum its only india doing a full fledge reseach on it and we are sucessful upto 70%. What do you understand by making Fuel and developing Energy thru Nuclear, I would like to know. How much years it will take after signing the agreement the power will be produced commercially. Secondly by 2020 india plans to produce 20000 MW of Nuclear power which will only be 6% of the total indian power production. Do India needs to play with its security and Research with the americans who are masters in doing this kind of business. The americans are showing us carrots and riding on us only a true india having confidence on its capability understand this. you are either stupid or idiot, you are the one how misguide the people. do you know till now India has not make a single >=1000MV nuclear reactor? do you know why? successful up to 70% can you say how successful your research are? for your kind information we will not be able to reach the 20,000MV target with this rate. first go and read the agreement before commenting if you claim to have read the agreement you better check with a doctor.

Dear Friend by signing the deal India does not need to play with its security. On the other hand in the long run Pakistan and China can be kept under tremendous pressure. India said that it will go on producing nuclear weapons. Besides Nuclear power is the cleanest form of energy. For how many yers oil and natural gas reserves will stay?

N-Energy is not cheap, the problem is water (Hydel & Tidel)and Wind are free form of energy that india is blessed with. With research going stronger india has another potential source. N-Energy will be much more costlier by 4 to 8 times that we can produce by other conventional measures. USA is only intrested to hamper Indian research and do the brain drain from India by cripling thru on the plate fuel tactic, but it will not hapen.

Dear Mr. Subramanyam have u ever tried to study the current conditions of the worlds earliest Nuclear Power Stations and the "waste" of the power production??? The "waste" radio active tH or Ur are first of all of big quantity which keeps emitting the radiation to the atmosphere. And the amount of the waste produced per 1MW of Energy is huge that most of the countries which is having nuclear power plants are struggling now to dispose this. You must think that the energy which we are gonna get frm this by 2020 is only 6% of the total energy!! For getting this much we have to face soooo many issues like the aforesaid. above all, US never help countries with out any hidden agenda! They r not dying to help India, they dont like the India n China emerging as super powers! So they r showing the carrot to us, n we stupids think that this the Heaven n die for it ! Why cant we explore the fields like wind energy, bio energy etc?? The whopping amount which India gonna pour in to the construction of new nuclear power plant cud b diversed in to this kinda of energy. Look at China, they r getting their 60% energy through Coal, which they import frm other countries mainly. Why cant we think like that? Look bak to History, wherever US went with their help hand.......they hav invaded those places later or made them as their slaves! Why to make our Mother India the slave of other country??? wind energy, bio-energy do you know the cost that is involved in that? the amount of land required, time required? yes yes use coal like china but you forget Indian coal is of very low quality so the efficiency is also very low so build more plants but from where you will get the coal? do you know Australia is supplying coal now?
