India is a sovereign and a emerging super power.
Why we need to listen to US all the time. We need to stand firm and demands what we need.
"US stop bullying India as you bully around the world."

exactly....our leaders wanted this deal...they negotiated with the US for this...so that India comes out of the nuclear apartheid....now we are the laughing stock because the left leaders think we are subjecting ourselves to US hegemony...well Mr.Karat and Mr.Bardhan maybe you could mine the needed uranium along with your trade union buddies and run our nuclear plants. Since when were the leftists become care takers of India's national interest. After the initial madness..the BJP is probably coming around..hopefully we'd see this deal go through.

Do you know how much USA depend on other nations: How much brains India has contributed/ and still contributing.
every nations depend on other nation for productivity.
The solution is to become less dependent in other natio for technologies.
why not India try to harness our own brains to up lift the country?
It's time to change our mentality- always trying to serve the (colonial/ neo-colonial) masters.

do you know how much India depends on USA or European or Russian technology? The thought of self development of technology is very good on paper but not so in reality. a simple search on nuclear technology research will let you know where we stand at the world stage.

Actually, you have no idea of the extent to which we are dependent on U.S. made products.
Even the much-touted Param supercomputer is built with American processors.

We must also understand that nuclear energy is only part of the deal. Unless we improve our relations with the West, we will be denied all high technology. Ask any person actively engaged in this business. India does not make any integrated circuits. Even simple military grade electronic components have to be imported.

Yep he thinks that Pepsi, Coke, Mc Donalds etc etc will move out of india if the N deal fails. Buddy without this N deal also u can enjoy them, as for N-deal we dont need it from US to dictate what India has to do.

I am afraid you are wrong. You have no idea of India's dependence on American technology. Even the much touted Param supercomputer is based on American processors. And the LCA is finally flying, but with American engines.

Then nuclear power generation in India will never be a very large component. The solar power generation will overtake it much earlier along with wind.
The talk that this deal will help power generation is totally false and it is the most ridiculous thing to say.For a long time to come Coal and gas generated electric power will be the the largest component.
