I think BJP wants the same terms as the US-
China nuclear agreement even if it
takes significantly longer to
negotiate.
India cannot agree to Fissile Material Cutoff Treaty which is part of NSG draft as it is a back door to cap and roll back.

BJP is nationalist when it suits them. The N-Deal dialogue was startedby them with an implicit committment to no explosion.Today we have adeal with a possible explosion being judged by the circumstances.Thisis definitely better and BJP will not be the signatory.Hence they turn anti national join the commiesin opposing the deal.So much for BJP's petty nationalism.

Actually, BJP has muted its opposition to the deal. Now they say that they are not opposed to the deal as a whole but only want some extra safeguards.

Let me point out that the Congress Govt. will have to quit if it used the BJP's support to get the deal through. That is the reality of Indian politics.

What about it? Don't waste time on the BJP. Instead, admire Mdm Sonia Gandhi and Mr Rahul Gandhi for projecting India's image so wonderfully on their visit to China.
