CPM cannot hope to rule Kerala like West Bengal becos the Christian, Muslim and Nair lobbies have their own political groups to counter the Communist oligrachy with a sprinkling of Congress part thrown in.
More than Congress, it is the strength of the Christan dominated Kerala Congress and Muslim League that is stopping a repeat of West Bengal in Kerala. Nair strength is on the decline. Let Mamata build a similar coalition of anti-CPM castes and relgions and align them into a strong confederation; it will see the end of CPM rule like the collapse of nine pins.

dear sir, this is not possible in WB. caste politics is non-existent here. here it would never be like 'this caste will vote for that party' etc. it is individual choice here that matters. we sometimes don't even know which is the caste of the candidate we will vote for...

mr bhowmik, west bengal is a volcano, it can irrupt any time. dont forget a lot of hindu ppl r from bangladesh. so, subhas mukherjee had say once he is first brahmin n then commie. we also heard anti muslim statement from buddhadev bhattacharya. and caste? who r in bottomline of caste system they know it very well.

i said about caste-politics, sir. casteism still exists in the minds of many people in Bengal also ...thats true. but politics here is totally free from casteism. but i could not understand how bangladesh came into the caste picture !! think positive my friend.

Well said deep . People here don't have any idea , how politics run in Bengal ..who want to give the chairs to the bunch of peoples like mamta banerjee who does politics without any ideology & friendship with rioters ..

Spot on. That is the problem. She is now scared, if Buddha babu gets the success then she will be issue less in very short time. She should realise the importance of ideology. She should trust her own people.
