What a price we are paying
by Aftab on Oct 30, 2007 10:48 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

Be it Godhra or post Godhra, we thought that the damage was loss of life and property but what we are realising now is that it was minor loss.

The biggest casuality is our pride and loss of face all over the world. The foundation of democracy has been shaken and India is now being criticised on various international forum for not combating communalism.

Political parties and those individuals who were largely responsible for this state of affair have no regret and in fact have emboldened themselves to the extent that they are bent upon to viciate the atmosphere once again on the occassion of forthcoming election.

The Tahelka expose and now the effort to distribute CDs for inciting communal passion will lead to rise in communal passion and may be killng of more innocent. End result may be that Communal outfits will gain some seats and retain power in Gujrat. But what a cost we will pay for it.

We must think and seriously debate whether a state government is important or the pride of India is to be saved. The pride of India is being the largest secular democracy of the world.

This is the crucial moment for India and the IZZAT of India is in the hands of people of Gujrat.

I am confident that the people of Gujrat who have lead great movements that destablised and are successful businessmen all over the world would choose to save the pride of the country and not let down us by becoming a part of the communal agenda of any individual or any political party.

WHERE WAS THE PROVOCATION IN THE FIRST PLACE WHEN THE GODHRA RIOTS TOOK PLACE -- BY EXTREMIST MUSLIMS

WHERE IS THE PROVOCATION NOW -- BY THE PSEUDO SECULAR ESTABLISHMENT AND EXTREMIST MUSLIMS WHO ARE HELL BENT ON DEFAMING NARENDRA MODI IN SPITE OF THE FACT THAT GUJRAT MUSLIMS HAVE MORE OR LESS MOVED AHEAD IN LIFE AND GUJRAT HAS BEEN PEACEFUL FOR THE PAST FIVE YEARS. BUT PSEUDO SECULARIST POLITICAL PARTIES ARE TRYING TO ISOLATE MODI BY FIRST CREATING AN ATMOSPHERE OF HATRED AGAINST MODI AND HIS PARTY AND ON THE OTHER HAND LURING HIS PARTYMEN TO DESERT HIM.

FOR A PEACEFUL ATMOSPHERE BOTH THE PARTIES SHOULD SEE REASON AND NOT SPREAD HATRED AGAINST EACH OTHER FOR NO REASON. PEOPLE WHO HAVE CARRIED OUT CRIMES DURING RIOTS ARE BEING TRIED IN COURTS AND WE SHOULD TRUST THE SYSTEM OF OUR COUNTRY.

TELEHKA TAPES BRING OUT JUST ONE THING - SOME LUMPENS MAKING SOME BIG BRAGGING REMARKS AND NOTHING ELSE. THEY SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR REMARKS AND PUNISHED SUITABLY. BUT PETTY POLITICKING IN THE MATTER IS HARMFUL FOR THE WHOLE COUNTRY.....

There couldn't have been a greater villain in Indian history than this schmuck called Modi.... And as I've said this many times before, there couldn't have been a more 'chakka' community than the damned Gujaratis

LEARN TO UNDERSTAND THINGS. WHERE HAS IT BEEN MENTIONED THAT NM IS THE VICTIM? CERTAINLY THERE IS AN ATTEMPT TO DEFAME HIM BUT AS IT WILL SOON BE KNOWN TO EVERYBODY HE WILL EMERGE VICTORIOUS FROM THIS SITUATION AS WELL. AND FOR YOUR KIND INFORMATION THE MAN CREDITED WITH THE ACHIEVEMENT OF LEADING THE NATION TOWARDS FREEDOM AND KNOWN AS THE 'FATHER OF THE NATION', MOHANDAS KARAMCHAND GANDHI WAS ALSO A GUJARATI....ATLEAST LEARN SOME ELEMENTARY MANNERS WHEN YOU PUBLICLY EXPRESS YOUR VIEWS ON ANY ISSUE......
