Rajesh probably is too much down on self confidence. Hey great nations are not turned great overnight. Its a long process and USA took 400 years to reach the position where it is rite now.

India is half the way in just 50 years of independance.....check you attitue Rajesh

Tanya Shah , US is only 230 plus years old. But their progress started soon after the 2nd world war. All this BS about 400 yrs is crap. THey did invent so many things. And they came up thru hard work and patriotism. NO COMMUNIST HERE. YOU NEVER EVER SEE AN A AMERICAN LABOR CARRYING COMMUNIST FLAG LIKE OUR INDIAN TRADE UNIONS. AFLCIO CARRIES US NATIONAL FLAG FIRST.

India is among six countries that launch satellites and do so even for Germany, Belgium, South Korea, Singapore and EU countries.

India's INSAT is among the world's largest domestic satellite communication systems.

India%u2019s Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) was indigenously manufactured with most of the components like motor cases, inter-stages, heat shield, cryogenic engine, electronic modules all manufactured by public and private Indian industry.

Is that enough or you want me to update you more about our great Nation.

Yes I do accept, the rate of progess been very slow compared to other few countries.

Rajesh,
if india is not self reliant, as u pointed out, should we be thinking of being self reliant, instead of crying about it and depending on others for our defense?
Main problem in depending on US is, WHO WILL PROTECT YOU FROM USA ITSELF? Do u want to sit in the league of Israel or Iraq? Wolrd is still not globalized enough that we can do away with dependency in defense..or, just settle for being just a pawn in USA armer.

Ajit Barve , For the past 35 plus years we were depending for Soveit arms. And we were their pawn for a long period of time. How come you forgot to mension that? MAY BE YOU DONT MIND AS LONG AS IT IS CHINA OR RUSSIA. YOU MAY BE ALERGIC TO AMERICA , ISREAL AND THE WEST AS A WHOLE.
