Nuclear power
by PRADYUMNA PANDEY on Oct 25, 2007 04:44 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

The core of the earth is full of radioactive metals. As it is, all heavy elements are radioactive. They settled at the earths core when earth was molten. So actaully, geo-thermal energy is nuclear energy. We need to tap this geothermal energy.

please tell us how to tap geothermal energy ? Do we have enough places in India where hot lava ( or hot water thats in contact with lava) come to the surface ?

If we have such places, do you have an idea of how much energy can be feasibily drawn out of it ?

A good idea but the technology needed for that is at least a hundred years away.
