See guys ... he has his political compulsions. But at the same time he is saying go ahead with any deal or dont, whatever be the caes at on point of time India shall be self reliant. And that is perfectly acceptable stand. Only if our politicians could have that kind of a vision. Say Amen !!!

YOU ARE RIGHT. HE IS DIPLOMATICALLY AVOIDING THE ISSUE, AS HE IS NOT NOW A DECISION MAKER FOR THIS ISSUE.
I believe he must had been consulted by Congress and even CPMI.
Dr. kalam is doing a right thing by not giving his opinion publicly and avoiding additiong fuel into the controversial debate going on.
