N Deal
by Kuldeep Chandra on Oct 23, 2007 07:21 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

It is time that US amends Hyde Act and removes the paras and sections that infringe with the sovereignty of India.

How USA would feel if India makes a law after discuusion in Parliament that:

India will establish business relationship in nuclear energy area with USA.

USA, in such a situation will have to stop manufacture of all nuclear weapons, stop all nuclear tests and commence a phased destruction of all its nuclear armament. USA will ensure to the world community that USA will not nuclearise space and terrestrial warfare any further.

The IAEA would ensure that USA adheres to these obligtions. India would use its good offices to help IAEA to enter into an agreement with USA on these aspects of the Indo-US nuclear deal. In case USA fails to enter into agreement with IAEA the Indo-US deal shall not be operationalized.

In the event of any act of commision or omission contrary to the obligations mentioned above during the currency of deal comes to the notice of India , IAEA or the world community, India will have the full rights to forthwith close the deal.

Left rejects govt plea on IAEA talks, because Left is not ready to eat biryani and forget Indian people; not ready to take ministership and implement anti-people policy; not ready to take money and say "yes sir, yes sir."
