If Sardar Patel happened to be our 1st Prime Minister we might not be cribbing like this. What Congress did to this country in their first 45 years of ruling!!!
Put us in debt in a huge way, spead corruption in every possible way and above all total mis-management.
India is lagging behind in growth by 25 years. We ould have saved that precious 25 years!!!!

How different it would have been if Sardar Vallabhai Patel had become the first Prime Minister instead of Jawaharlal Nehru. Gandhi should take the blame for supporting Nehru.

Point taken Purna. SVP was indeed the iron man of India. Pehru was just a good writer, not a politician.
