BJP must put Uniform Civil Code on agenda
by Dheeraj Akula on Oct 20, 2007 11:12 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

We need Uniform Civil Code.

BJP or any other political party must fight taking up Uniform Civil Code as an election issue.

Enough of these vote bank politics. They are ruining India.

India must allow people to practise whatever religion they want, but Hinduism must be patronised and encouraged because that is the religion of this land.

Mata Amritanandamayi is a scheduled caste woman. All Hindus, including Brahmins, worship her and take her blessings. This is only a current day example. In the past too, several low caste people were worshipped by ALL Hindus. Lord Krishna was an OBC, as per today's OBC definition. Sage Vyasa was from a fisherman tribe. He too is considered equal to Lord Krishna. Sage Valmiki, who wrote Ramayana, was a dacoit and he would fall into Scheduled Tribe category.

So, put your biased Christian mind to rest.

"mata is from my hometown and i know her better than u..rest assured..she is an billionaire..goddess lakshmi..so which hindu will not bow to her.."

So, now people worship her because of her money, not caste?

Similarly, extending your logic, a person may be looked down upon by other people not because of his caste, but because of his poverty. Just think ... I am merely extending your logic ...

I don't enjoy quota. Majoroty of Hindus do not enjoy quota.

Majority of SC and ST are Christians. Go to any government office and enquire, you will realize this.

Your mind is a sick Christian mind!!! It is beyond redemption! Christianity has ruined you!

"but Hinduism must be patronised"

and soon we will become exactly like our muslim counter parts...:)..who patronize islam only on greater scale.

Quite the logical next step once you start to "patronize" one religion over others.

The entire defination of secularism becomes moot.

Do we have true secularism now?

Secularism is absolutely non-existent in India.

Congress and others are hard-core communal parties.

There is something more important than secularism. That is the culture and heritage of this land (with all its imperfections). That is definitely more important than "secularism" or pseudo-secularism.

Let us have Uniform Civil Code and let everyone practise whatever religion they want? What more do other religions want?

uniform civil code, may not be possible coz hindu coomuty brothers has so many differences among them and it is not possible for them. just trying to implement birth control only will not solve the problem.see at china having population more than us, they are one of the super power emerging country. first of all selfish ness has to be removed and see that your neighbour who ever it may be is happy or not instead baking the cake first and eating it ownself is not good. try to see the jobs oportunities in every feild is equally given no partiality practices. Intentionally and unnecessary propanga towards one particular community is being done and keeping the poor at poor only. this type of behaviour should be removed.

I think you should know about Chinese Policy before commenting on it; I have visited China several times and am now in China; The Chinese Govt has always NOT allowed any muslim family to have more than 1 child and will even eliminate them if they deviate from their policies; I think muslims and also other communities are misusing the democratice set up of India and the freedom provided
