This can be changed by making a simple law. If a blue line bus is caught speeding arrest,driver,bus staff,contracter and the bus owner under non bellable warrant. The mininum fine should be 5 lac rupees which should increase with the speed at which the bus was caught. The property of all the bus staff,contacter and owner should be seized immediatly. I know this is tough. The second more simple option is to take the laws in there hands by public. They should beat the bus staff,contractor and owner of the bus so badly that they cannot move from bed for whole of there life. When there famlies will suffer they will uderstand and in way other bus owners will also understand.

Be pragmatic my friend..If public take the laws in their hands then delhi will become like Bihar (as many incidents had happened within these two month)..i think u had not gone through that....i think u want to make one more bihar in India..all evil crimes r going on there..

Dear Ratheesh,People taking laws in their hands is not the exact thing happenning out there.People were suffering for long at least 15yrs during Laloo raj.Present Bihar govt made Police and judiciary more strict and criminals started getting punished.So this was just normal behaviour.Speedy court trials has convicted at least 50000 guilties in Bihar including Shabuddin and Anand Mohan.This is not public outrage but frustration of public coming out when they feel that govt and Police is with them. Delhi is no more good that Bihar in that sense.Go and try to register and FIR with Delhi Police.Captial of the country and despite all tall claims you are discouraged to make FIR in even simple cases like stolen vehichle. Policement taking bribes openly on road from bus drivers!MCD and every state dept is as corrupt as ever. Even then if you leave everything in the hands of DP,then situation is never going to improve.

The Bus should be crushed or burned down at the same spot! so the contractor will hire proper persons and also some new ones come on the road instead of old ones! hahahha

No, I think that there should not be any violence created but each and every individual should think the importance of their lives. They should travel through DTC buses and not enter these buses atall. I think this may teach them a lesson..for this very important is that individual should think and should be awakened by media and local channels and newspapers.

no dear friend. Your solution may only increase more violence on part of bus drivers. If we implement these type of solutions our nation will be in chaos. Then the line between right and wrong will become thin. SOlution has to be objective/pragmatic also ensure livelihood of these bus drivers is not jeopardised.

Thanks man but I do not see any improvement made by India by following your way. Only fear can correct them, they will only understand value of life if and only if they loose some one who is dear to them

By resorting to violence by the public dont you think the bus drivers unions will also resort to violence. Have a citizens meeting with the unions and owners and contractors. Dont threaten to beat them but identify ways and means to curb this menace. I am not a follower of Gandhiji but I believe that violence should be used only where it is necessary. Convince the owners/contractors/drivers that there might come a day when their own Kith and Kin might be in one of this accidents and that they are not immune. Thats the way to resolve problems like these. Also did you see how many people crowd into these buses. Why? People are equally responsible for the blame. We blame everything on the system and we dont make any attempt to correct it. This includes me. Let everyone make money but also be responsible for their ownerships. Thats what as citizens we need to convey. The beating of these people may also lead to uncontrollable riots. If the busowners/drivers/contractors dont listen then just stop using these buses. Dont insist on the driver to go faster if you are getting late

yeah wht u said is correct Example NAGPUR house wives. The system is corrupt and only public anger should be directed! even judiciary also works under public anger..example jassica case and recent culcutta case. Am I wrong!!??
