Today HH Dalai Lama was awarded the Congressional Gold medal by U S President George Bush. The event was telecast by BBC at length. President Bush did not mince any words when he called up on China to talk to the Dalai Lama. Hats off to Bush. Compare this with our electronic media. There was not whisper about the event in any Channel in this country. Even this morning Newspapers were almost silent on this topic. Reason China resents the event. What cowardice? If our Government is so scared of China even to mention Dalai Lama%u2019s name, then why have an Army facing the Chinese. Then why are we allowing the Tibetan Government in Exile to function within our country? It is better to totally surrender and be a colony of China. That way at least our poor people may get their basic need fulfilled out of the money spent to keep vigil on the border with China.. It is a shame that we have a Government that is mortally scared of China. When will we have a Government with guts?
