But the question is why does the Congress which should know better succumb to the destructive obstructions by a microscopic minority represented by Karat and the other members of the gang of four? Why don't they go ahead with operationalizing the deal as wished by the majority of patriotic Indians?

Swamy, what u mean by patriotic indians? Do u think those who oppose the deal is unpatriotic?
I think India should work on the other sources easily available from nature (solar etc) to deal with the electricity shortage.
