Left is right on this

Whatever left maybe, but regarding N-deal i think Left are right.
U see according to the agreement with america, we cannot conduct nuclear test. If we do, they can recall all equipment back. Then what about money we have invested? Nuclear test may be essential in near future for our security. Do u think world can restrict our enemy from conducting test. China & pakistan does not have this restriction. Plus what we get from this deal is only fuel for energy!! Which in year 2020 will be approx. 7% of our energy need. So what's the use of this N-deal?? What about Indo-Iran gas pipeline deal? Why govt. is sitting on that? And why not make reactors based on thorium which is available in plenty on our country. Our scientist are capable of doing this, then why to take external help? Left is saying this, they are not opposing nuclear power. U all are not understanding them. Regarding N-Deal with america Left is right, i support them on this only.

You got it wrong. The deal doesnt say when you test US is entitled to take back its equipment. Wonder where you got this from. It can at the best cut the supplies..not take back the installations. But again if you have your supplies from other nations like canada...you'll continue to get your supplies. Thats is the reason the deal is good for india because the penalties arent very severe..unlike earlier we were totally cut off.
Thorium is still under research...even if we had it today time for it to reach criticality is very long so it doesnt help you in your energy need for the next 2 decades.
If you weigh benefits like access to technology and supplies against potential fallouts...we gain a lot and that is why this is a good deal. The only reason Left is against this is because its a deal with USA!!!!

Excluding Russia (and sometimes France) all the other NSG are puppets of Uncel SAM.
Think for your self with rising tensions in the surrounding countries and Chinese agression in Arunachal and Sikkim, leave aside Tibet, Bhutan, Taiwan and Burma what is more important Security or N- supply whoch will only be used after 10 years for power generation.
We need to survive to use the benefits of the 123 deal. China is just in the mood to put more tensions in Inaid as its affecting their business.

Haven't we already tested nukes once or twice? and from what i understand they seem to work fine...do we need to test it like every now and then is it whether our nukes work or not? i have a feeling we don't need to test them anymore, we know they work, we have them and god forbid the time never comes to use them. the end.

How will Nuclear Bombs help you survive?

Secondly as a part of the nuclear deal, the restrictions are on new reactors not old ones. India can still use the old reactors to produce bombs.

As far as testing bombs is concerned, why do u need to test them when you have the capability to develop it.. What are you going to do with the new designs of bombs? Can China test the bombs so easily being a part of CTBT?

In case of any evantuality how do we protect our country N bombs are not to attack but to use it as a diplomatic means of cooling tensions.
And if we dont need bombs the same reactors can be used to convert fuel for n-power reactors.
USA is just looking at its own intrest as pakistan is of no use to them and they cannot control china, none other country seems to be a good ally to them.
Just see how they used Iraq, PAkistan, Afganistan, very soon Israil will see a good kicking from USA.
Why do every product goes thru testing when its already been developed. There is R&D hapening all the time and we need the right to test our own developments.
The N-deal is of no use as we will get the electricity after 10 years (best possible least time), Gaspipe line from Iran is a necessity as the pipeline work in pakistan will complete in next year or so.
Pakistan is getting paid also for the pipeline so with US funds comming down they will have to bank on this funds from India.
Reliance has a history of jacking prices when there is a scaricity this pipeline will keep them too under control. Secondly Reliance pipe gas will take minimum 5 years to be distributed, we need the Iran gas more at this moment than the N-deal.
If congress and the UPA is so keen on the deal and has a public support why they dont dissolve the assembly and go for a fresh mandate.
Can you just script out how the deal will benefit india in the next 5 years.
