I was under the impression that this guy Karat was smart. Now I am in doubt of what lies between his ears. 1. He is against organized retail that stands for more efficiencies in marketing, reduction in waste and more job generation by stimulating the economy. 2. He thinks all the nuclear reactors will come from the US. Actually we may get very little from the US. Reactors will come from France Japan and Russia that are more advanced in this technology and Uranium will come from Australia. 3.He thinks India will become the "Junior" partner of the US. That is the silliest piece of logic from him. Who cares about it when we are doing business with the americans. The only important question is - do we gain from the deal? I guess Karat is willing to accept losses and poverty if someone puts a crown on his head. 4. He thinks that the Missile defense partnership will lead to aiming missiles at Russia and China. Does he realize that this defensive system can only knock off incoming missiles and not bomb enemy cities and targets. 5.He opposes foreign universities. Does he understand that less than 5% of our Universities are world class. A few of our medical and engineering colleges are only fit to be cow sheds. China is building a huge university system and we are far behind. Where is Karat going to find the billions we need for higher education?
Karat is bringing shame to our country with his himalayan ignorance.
