Democracy in India
by sanjay on Oct 15, 2007 06:46 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Consider last 50 years and see what democracy has given to india. When india became independant in 1947, situation of Germany and Japan were worst coz of second world war. Now see after 50 years where are they and where india stands.
Democracy has done nothing great for india. So if some one says that Modi is autocratic then let him continue to work in his own way, coz finally whatever he is doing is good for Gujarat.

Democracy has gifted one great thing to all of us on this forum. We can openly criticise any political party or leader In India. We can even use abusive languages regardign our own citizens based on their religeon, faith, language, race, complexion, statehood etc.
This is not at all allowed in an autocratic or dictatorship ruled state.
Can you think this happen in Singapore,Russia,Indonessiah,China,Saudi Arabia, other gulf countries or even in Malaysia ?
This happens only in countries where we have true democracy.Praise for democracy.Your tounge would get slited in an autocratic state for expressign your political views...just remember that
