BJP is Frustrated!!
by Contractor on Oct 16, 2007 11:08 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

BJP is so hungry for power that one feels sorry for them. Having tasted power once they just cannot wait to get back. All their predictions of mid-term elections since 2004 when they lost the election have come to naught. They will be well advised to change course, give up communalism, break their relations with the RSS, Shiv Sena and VHP, think in terms of nation's good and support the Govt on issues that are worthy of support and not oppose for the sake of opposition. Opposition party in a democracy is meant to be a watch dog and not a compulsive opponent to oppose anything and everything that the Govt does. They should learn from the western countries from whom we have copied the system of parliamentary democracy. There on many issues the two sides get together if they find it is in the interest of the nation. On other issues they discuss and debate in a decent and disciplined manner and not create hungama and stage walkouts like the BJP has done in the last 3 1/2 years that they have been out of power. India badly needs a good, efficient and disciplined opposition party and the BJP can fulfil; that role if they have the wisdom and will to do so otherwise they can sulk and make stupid statements like some of their leaders do and stay in wilderness

Dear Contractor,
If the govt has real nation interest and not power hungry, let them prove it by going ahead with this.
I can bet you,in no situation, BjP didn't bend down to its allies and RSS on any national issues(incl: Pokran, privatisation on all sectors)

I agree that the BJP appears to be drifting in many directions aimlessly. Now here is a golden opportunity to recover some of the lost ground. Strangely we are more focused on BJP rescuing the nuclear deal than blaming congress for losing it. RSS should guide BJP to support congress now for the sake of the country.

Contractor : Your frustration too is showing man... If the Holy Congress is not power hungry, the Nuclear Deal would hav egone through!!. Its because Sonia and Co. are not ready to sacrifice power that they are now compromising with the Chinese in disguise, the leftists, to save the power knowing well that in the eyes of the world the Govt. of India will stand naked..

Hey , one thing to understand is that even Mid- term elections would leave a big hole in the pocket of Tax Payer (i.e. Salaried class ). which includes u & me.
Today Nuclear Fuel is the necessity of India. We are running short of energy. Villages & Metros in Mubai are facing power cuts ranging from 4 - 12 hrs daily.
In this conditions , when the govt . is planning to start metro railways , sky bus. For this growth , where would the power enery come from ?
Would it be generated by raising the power cuts for 24 hrs & more
