There is army in pakistan, and there are terrorists, there is govt. in Pakistan and there is US .... Terrorists accuse Pakistani administration to be in a proxy war with them for the US ... Musharraf is trying to tell people that it is not for US, for their own, that Pakistan must defeat terrorism.
The army is confused. Till yesterday, Musharaff was on they were aiding and abetting terrorism as if they are one the same ... today under US pressure, Musharaff wants army to shoot at the terrrorists ... terrorists who may be related to army personnel ... men from same village, men they have married their sister or daughter too .... Now, they have to shoot them ... so, they are more confused.
There is growing dissent within Paki army between terrorist sympathisers and moderates and the rift between them makes army unsure who is right and who is wrong.
Screw pakistan ... these things are commonplace there.

Well said. But the difference between Muslim Terrorists, Pakistan's army and their government is very thin. This adds to further confusion.
