Rediff should stop this section!censorship is regrettable
by Prof R K Gupta-India on Oct 09, 2007 09:44 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

I see with amusement that there are more blocked messages than displayed ones.Rediff moderator seems to have some fears or some strange philosophy of publishing.Fearless journalsim is something every one can't have .Time of Goenka and Karanjia is gone.If you dont have guts why you run this feature.Let people express unless they use foul language. Why and how my postings were blocked? This is abuse of buttons in hands of moderator and psuedo journalism. Is rediff running on congress aid?

i agree with you in totality, the moderator misuses his block button here, at his whim and cause of his own mental block.

Blocking divergent views defeates the purpose of any board.

I have seen abusive messages displayed here, while my message with other side of a story were blocked.

The moderator did care to respond back to my email request to inform me the reason of blocking my message, that did not have any offensive or abusive content.

Guptaji,

You ask why some of your postings were blocked. They were blocked because they were really abusive and hate-filled, not unlike the Ad in NYT under discussion, almost as abusive.

Please think and express like a decent human being. By the way, what are you professor of? Was it genetics, or genealogy?
