Who is this Arun Gandhi?What he has to do with mahatma Gandhi and his work?Just because he is grandson?Is not he trying to do same what Sonia is doing?She is also grand daughter of that wily and incompetent guy Nehru?
Indians must stop idol worship. Entire south India particularly Tamilians have this problem of erecting huge cut outs of cheap mortals like Jay Lalitha and their ilk.
Arun Gandhi will defend Sonia as he is beneficiary of her largesse. He also is in same boat ,rowing the waters of dynastic system. To get benefit. Indians must see that congress is thoroughly defeated and wiped out from Indian political scene. Not only congress is thoroughly corrupt institution it is always led by one family that has caused complete degradation of Indian moral values and peace in society.
Sonia has nothing to do with gandhi, his principles and hindusim. She is a christian ,a foreigner( merely taking passport does not naturalise a person) and it takes generations to naturalise. Much more deserving and better speakers on Gandhi were available who could be invited.
It is tragedy that in a poor and cheap country like India, politics is full time chaos in society whereas politics is merely a tool for governance in democratic system.
All intellectuals should condemn the uttering of Arun Gandhi and ask him to mind his own business and not try to own Gandhi. Sonia & her kids must get out of politics or else boneless & corrupt Congress will loose grip on power and politics in India.

Prof. Gupta has hit the nail on the head with the kind of sledgehammer, which are used in WWF/WWE.
Moreso, Arun Gandhi has mentioned in his statement "We all utter empty platitudes to the Father of the Nation since none of us really follows his ideals and principles". If he, himself, were a follower of Mahatma Gandhi and a man following and implementing Gandhian principles, then why has he stopped short of including many congressmen? Is he planning to join the congress - by not mentioning congressmen?

Prof. Gupta, I agree with you largely. These "Gandhis" try to make their the most of their life from this dynastic link. Only one thing sticks in mind -which party is good for India. Are they not same kind of "Humans" in every party. Is there really some difference between these parties. Is selfishness, favouritism, corruption, goondagardi, not the common thread that binds all perties.I beleive it is.
