The demostrations were not against Mahatma Gandhi ji. No one said anything demeaning of Gandhiji in the "Protest." Admiring all that was good in Gandhi ji does not make him a perfect human being. He had his own flaws as admitted by himself. Trashing him now takes the focus away from the main issue and that is how does a "naturalized" citizen, nonoffice holder inGovernment, on the basis of her elected position and party leadership become a representative for a country in the United Nation function? Why not the President of India or the Prime Minister of India? These are the legitimate questions without even going into any hate issues. The corrupt thinking and practices of the Indians who support such decisions and party politics of India spilling into the international domain is the travesty the Indian citizens have to face daily may be since Gandhi ji and Nehru ji also had the same character defect when it came to subordination of National interest. That is the corrupt thinking and behaviour which provokes a true patriot. Arun may be the one who was at one time catering to the Moral Disarmament group. He is not to be viewed as a true patriot and certainly not beyond the corrupt thinking that is the basic curse of the Indians. Indians have difficulty in developing a solid national character that is loyal to their national interest. Any effort made to develope such character and expression of such character is dubbed fundamentalism or fanaticism. These are labels
