I think what the state and the country now needs is the power to recall. The people who voted in these politicians should be empowered with the ability to recall them when they default on promises or go in for opportunistic alliances from which they backtrack when it suits them. We cannot afford mid-term polls to suit the ambitions of politicians. The power must come back to the hands of the people. This is our only hope.
