Once bitten, you should be twice shy
by Ester Astir on Oct 08, 2007 07:35 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

It would be good for the BJP if it dissassociates with the JD(S), as the latter has sufficient come out in its true colours - worst political betrayal, giving out one lame excuse a day for its reluctance to transfer the power, its taking upon itself an ungranted veto and certifying power. In short, Deve Gowda and his Kumara behaved in a most irresponsible, repulsive, shameless and inexcusably opportunistic manner. The sympathy for the BJP has tremendously gone up, for they had never been adversely reviewing or imposed any conditionalities for continuance of Kumaraswamy as CM, throughout his scheduled tenure. The stock of the JD(S) has plummeted headlong, and it wouldn't be wise for the BJP to try to hang on together with this untrustworthy ally. It will be good for the BJP to go it alone, for it has the potential to come to power on its own. It shouldn't mind the time.
