Really Bad for the republic of Pakistan as well as its neighbors! Before the people of Pakistan put forth their choice in the ensuing general elections, persons with vested interests are trying to impose themselves on them. And with their maneuvering tactics and external support, they seem to be succeeding in their design. People of Pakistan will have to wait for some more time and work harder to get a really democratic government.

all that musharraf has done in his entire political career is manipulation and fortunately for him, he has always been there at the right place, right time. The moment Democrats capture the White House, look for some dramatic change in Pakistan.
Benazir if she comes to power, should make the necessary constitutional changes for chnage of power center back to the PM's office. Always the elected office will only have the people's mandate in a democracy.
In theocracy and dictatorship rule, anything is possible.
