I do not say that Karunanidhi is clean and non-corrupt. But as for as sethu samudram project is concerned I wholeheartedly support him. This is a dream of all the Tamilians especially people of South Tamil Nadu for this region is not upto the mark in terms of industrialization.

DMK leadership supports it for the dredging business which it will generate for its ntire lifetime. The business, the bribes ....the loot of taxpayers' money.
Even Indian navy is instructed by government to not use this channel, supposed to be used by big container ships.
The project is an economic White Elephant in making and other than politicians of DMK there is no beneficiary of destroying a haritage site.
