How about SC abolishing all kind of bandhs, and not only the ones organised by any parties. Abolish bandhs/strikes by all groups including govt. workers, students, parties etc. People will love it. There will be peace and better economical preogress and lesser crime. That way maybe courts can finish off the cases already languishing with them for past 50 years.

Dada, you are mileading the public. Here the main question is where a ruling party can call for a total bandh when they are ruling in a state. Of course the BANDHS called by political parties to be abolished since most of them are calling the bandh on political issues for getting political mileage. The workers strikes is seperate issue. Workers are not interested to go for a strike, but when injustices are occured and imposed by their employers and political parties who are ruling that state or country are doing help to the employers and then labors have no other option but to go for strike or they will have to take laws on their own hands as we are seeing in Bihar and some other norhtern states. It is natural that when law enforcing agencies are not doing their work properly, then people will take law into their own hands. In this particular issue, it is crystal clear that TN BANDH is a political one. DMK is the ruling party and it is the party who have a dozen ministers in Union Cabinet. They are calling for this bandh for a speedy construction of SETHU project. Senseless people can trust their argument that they are calling this strike for this cause. They called this strike for political purpose only. SINCE THEY ARE A DOZEN MINISTERS IN UPA, THEY CAN WITHDRAW THEIR MINISTERS FROM THE UPA AND PROTEST LIKE THAT. Then people can understand their support on this cause. Now, it is becoming counter productive and PEOPLE are understanding about the politics on this issue. YES SC

SC has powers to summon CMs to court and send them to prison. Kalyan Singh was sent to jail for not implementing SC directive.

that is correct, but seeing the way they are interfering with the rights area of parliament and Indian govt. may be we can make them the ruler of India.
