Dont blame Karuna alone!
by sri sri on Oct 01, 2007 12:12 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Its not just the dogheadedness of the DMK and other political classes of Tamilnadu which needs to be blamed for this bandh. Its also another factor - The Bandh date was cleverly selected by DMK inbetween a Sunday and a national holiday on Oct,2nd. So, most people dont mind this and are in fact happy that today is a holiday in disguise! Employees of the government offices are happy to go picnicking! Its only the trading community that's affectd, cos they cant keep their shutters open, for the fear of vandalism by the party workers (read, vested interests!)
