If you stay in Malaysia, you should be aware that the people protesting are not "Indian Expats"... But are "Malaysian Indians" who are citizens of Malaysia... Most of them would have not even seen India in their lives....

For these people Malysia is their country & not India!!!

Are you sure you stay in Malaysia?

When you lived in Malaysia? Presently I am in Malaysia, now there is no government job for Malaysian Indians who are also the citizens of Malaysia. You can't see no Indian or Chinese in higher position of any Govt. job.
In year 2007, only one Indian student got admission in Medical university and that too not in a place where she wish to do her medical. But the malays who scored less marks than her got medical sheets as per their wish.
As per I am seeing here, Malaysian Govt. is completely neglecting Indians. They didn't ask for reservation, they are asking for equal rights as that of malays.Indian Govt. shoul support to Malaysian Indians instead of supporting to non-relavant countries like Iran, Taslima from Bangladesh etc.

Murli the gentleman, The people who are protesting are Malaysians of Indian origin and are not Indians. In Malaysia, there is some kind of reservation system only for the majority malay people. According to that Malays can have large share of Government positions and rights to do businesses. Hence other ethnic communities such as Chinese and Malays have to work for private companies or set up some private businesses (after buying these licences from Malays). Hence there are large number of ethnic minorities who are neither powerful, nor bright, feel marginalised because of this. That is why these protests.
