We have Uranium with us
by chenthil kumar on Nov 28, 2007 07:26 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

The Kadapa basin in Andhra Pradesh is a treasure trove with large deposits of uranium, and so far 28,000 tonnes had been identified. Why we should Sign this agreement which block nuclear test(Possibly conducted as part of research for generating power from thorium)as we have rich source of Thorium ore.

Well said buddy.I would give you one analogy for you to understand Mr.Kumar.There is no sense wasting time in developing technology for mercedeze when jermans have already develoved it.The best thing is to buy that technology instead of wasting time and money. This makes a stong sense for the deal

What are you talking Mr.chenthil kumar? Nuclear test Possibly conducted as part of research for generating power from thorium??? Nuclear test means exploding a nuclear bomb within a restricted place made of concrete deep within the earth so that the radiation does not come out. The purpose is to check whether the bomb explodes as expected by the designer. The difference between a bomb and a reactor is that in a bomb, all the energy is released in a very short time whereas in a nuclear reactor, the energy is released slowly in a controlled rate so that steam can be generated for power generation.Nobody will conduct a nuclear test as a part of research for generating power.
