So many people are chanting Taslima's name in TV chanels, news papers, web sites, everywhere. We beleive in democracy, we are Indian. But my friends, can someone explain me what do the words 'freedom of expression' means ? Does it mean that I can use abusive words, slangs, lies against anybody whenever I want ? Expressing of opinion and abusing is not the same thing. Would not you mind if someone uses abusive words against your father or mother. If the freedom of expression means, you are not supposed to react, simply keep your mouth shut and digest even if some one is abusing your father or mother or sister or brother or your friend, then I am sorry to say, there is some problem with the word democracy. Muhammad (PBUH) is much more than one's own parents to the Muslims. Why you never try to understand the feeling of Muslims when she abuses Muhammad (PBUH) ? There are millions of writers in Bengal, why none of those are having such kind of problem as she is having ?

bengali writers are state government ( CPIM) fed and CPIM is a party known for its dirty minority politics ( this became very evident from the entire taslima nasrin issue)...hope you got your reply...

MY dear brOthers
I will like to clear some misconception, for me remove to misception in non muslim is a jehad .
Jihad means to fight against evil,to do good things.In quran there is not a single statement which states the holy war against any particular religion.
rights of women:
I believe that Islam is the very modern religion, 1)Women have the share in the property from their parents 2)widow remarriage is allowed as well as women remarriage 3)just like men women can divorce their husband if the husband's behaviour is not good towards her wife 4)polygamy(purdah) is introduced to protect women from some evil eyes of men, there are also some rules for men as well. these are just some of the basic principal of Islam which tried to explain in short as possible.
I also knew very well after this reply some of the narrow minded , sick people will try to pinch my emotion but it does'nt matter to me because such kinds of culprit or fundamentalist exist in every society.
Islam is a religion of peace the word Is_(saalam) means peace i am just concentrating on that. quran states that it is important to understand quran then just reading and i under stand it to some extend It does;nt matter what any Taslima or XYZ says and I can bet on that she had hardly ever read quran.
