Actually Taslima Nasrin has tried to explain this only again and again that Quoran should be revised...but fundamentalists like you have protested and marched all round the Bangladeshi streets for her head...this proves your true intention...moreover each and every hindu of West Bengal know how the other Hindus are tortured in Bangladesh ; rather its a proven fact...so don post such idiotic comments in rediff...Bangladesh has been declared the most corrupt nation on earth year after year... so don mention any other examples to show how clean and innocent you people are...beacuse of people like you , the other Indians are suffering so much...

I will like to clear some misconception, for me remove to misception in non muslim is a jehad .
Jihad means to fight against evil,to do good things.In quran there is not a single statement which states the holy war against any particular religion.
rights of women:
I believe that Islam is the very modern religion, 1)Women have the share in the property from their parents 2)widow remarriage is allowed as well as women remarriage 3)just like men women can divorce their husband if the husband's behaviour is not good towards her wife 4)polygamy(purdah) is introduced to protect women from some evil eyes of men, there are also some rules for men as well. these are just some of the basic principal of Islam which tried to explain in short as possible.
I also knew very well after this reply some of the narrow minded , sick people will try to pinch my emotion but it does'nt matter to me because such kinds of culprit or fundamentalist exist in every society.
Islam is a religion of peace the word Is_(saalam) means peace i am just concentrating on that. quran states that it is important to understand quran then just reading and i under stand it to some extend It does;nt matter what any Taslima or XYZ says and I can bet on that she had hardly ever read quran.
