I am being honest when I say that I did not know of any hatred based on religious distinctions till 1992. Then it dawned on me and so many other young ppl in India the meaning of religion and why they have to hate other communities. Then the years after 1992 have been filled with terror and atrocities. India was more or less a peaceful country with perhaps a few stray incidents here and there, till this communal party sowed hatred and took the naive people of India for a ride by sowing insecurity about our religion in their hearts. A pity that they were successful partly going by the posts here. But the saving grace is that I and some of my ilk have seen through their ugly and cowardly agenda. I hope that more ppl are bestowed with the faculty of distinguishing between good and evil. We were a peaceful nation with people of all religions existing happily. Let us be that way, and tell the world with pride that India is sucha diverse nation, yet united. Let's put a stop to the saffron mafia's diabolic intentions. Jai Hind!

Mr.Contractor greetings to you! Your expressions are sober; but are they balanced? This country was partitioned based on religion, which was followed by a holocaust, in which the Hindus suffered the most. Though the scar of partition is there in every Hindu's psyche, they accept the Muslim commmunity with an equanimity in the independent Bharath. The basic ethos of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh are of Hindu in origin. After all the Muslims of the subcontinent were Hindus at some part of the ancestral time; but because one changes his religion willingly or otherwise, one does not have to become an enemy of one's motherland. Or else how can one explain the rape and assault of Hindu women, children and men in Kashmir and the mass exodus of about a million of them out of Kashmir to other parts of India in October 1989. Mr.Contractor you know 1989 is 3 yrs before 1992! It is not the question of who started 'it' first. Let all the muslims of India accept their motherland first and their God the next, there will be no problem. Let them not pander to the political parties like the shameful Congress. Please do not hold a brief for the Muslims. Hindus are not diabolical mafias. After all Dr.Ambedkar had written in a classic, before the partition that "the Muslims are bullies and barbarians".
