If i remember correctly, Kumaraswamy once said that he will pitch in his Son Nikhil into the Politics. So nothing can be said just yet.

Wait for next Generation of JDS to appear

Now there will not be any party, any power to you and your family Mr. Kumaraswamy . So it do not matter wether you listen to your father or not.
