We can forgive BJP because it never pretends to be secular. However - the party founded by a rationalist Nehru has become and apologist for fundamentalists. The leftists seem to look more like mullah loving Samjwadi party members. Taslima stands for freedom of speech and right to live with dignity. When we protect her - we protect the rights of our children and their children in future. We give up on her and the fundamentalists will ask us to give up more of our freedoms - and in many ways they already are.
Its this competitive Muslim appeasement by psuedos - cong, cpim, sp....lalu prasad, coupled with massive rise of jehadi/islamist rise thro' out the world and penetration into india because of laxity from psuedo intellectual/state craft/political parties HAVE RESULTED INTO THIS.
MAKE NO MISTAKE, NOW YOU WILL SEE RISE OF BJP. To a phenomenal level, even in West bengal.

I beg to differ Tathagata - BJP does not seem like a good alternative. They do not have a single leader with whom event a decent conversation cane be held except maybe an Arun Jaitely or Vasundhara Raje Scindhia. Its unfortunate it has completely lost its way. You may not agree - the Modi "kalank" is a dark clowd that is not easy to disappear. It will keeping back to haunt BJP in general, and Modi in particular.
