your policy

Dear editor,It is indeed abnoxious to display reply to some messages which are damaging and also when a request is made to hide some foul reply, you show the message [show message].I think it is highly inappropriate journalism. The same line of message is written by one mastercard and reviewed well.Just because a lady writes a message no one has a right to reply in pornographic language. If you do not delete adverse comments affecting a person's dignity, better ladies stop writingor write in psedonyms and take recourse to vulger means.I am sure any lady worth her prestiege will ever write in you message in your board

You have your right to comment Vanitha. But, being Indian, you should welcome this news, however symbolic it may be! Why do you side with a rogue country like Pakistan? I never understand the dhimmi attitude of Tamil Brahmins! They were the most hounded ones by the Dravidian monkeys. Yet they behave more pseudo-secular than any! This is one of the reason you will be at the receiving end of jingoistic Indians.

Vanita,
I understand you must have been hurt by comments of some good for nothing person. But you too have to understand that all these messages need to to be screened by a human to know that they are abusive before they are permanently deleted. At least the messages are hidden once they are reported. So till the time these are deleted you can console yourself by understanding that these kind of language is used only by useless people, who are totally desperat since they could not achieve anything worthwhile in their life because of their foolish way of thinking and therefore venting out their frustration on sensible people like you. You will do a lot of good to yourself by simply ignoring these people like those road side dogs barking at the passing vehicles.
I am not trying to justify rediff and its ways but i donot want anyone to be discouraged beacuse of people like these.
Regards,
Paresh

I concur with you on this, though am not generalizing but apppearrs that most of us indians are so insecure or must say coward that we resort to such ugly ways to boost out ego. We can't fight out way out in life so resort to such means. And I guess Rediff does'nt care about the messages published here unless some noble avid reader reports it to them.
The level of intellectual and culture is clearly shown by the messages here. After observing many forums I guess The most vulgar and demaeaning stuff is where Indians go..its a fact and the sooner we redress it the better we would be .

Vanitha,

I second your comments about the Rediff policy. It's shameful and unprofessional conduct by Rediff. They have pretty much descended to the depths of tabloid journalism. Sad, as Rediff used to be the leader in Indian journalism online.

But more than Rediff, I'm truly ashamed of the typical Indian who comments on Rediff. The coarseness of language, the open and blatant racism, sexism, and perversion is something I have not witnessed anywhere else on the internet- definitely not on a mainstream web site.

I think a concerted effort should be made to expose Rediff's poor journalism and shocking lack of decency in it's comments section.

I suggest you write a blog- preferably anonymously. You can expose them there, and control the comments the users make.

Good luck to you!
