Good sense prevailed

It is better on the part of Yeddyurappa that he decided to quit rather than signing the 12 point agenda on the dotted line and dance to the tune of Gowda. JD(S) has made a mockery of the democratic system. If their support to BJP was subject to the condition that BJP sign the 12 point agenda, then why did they give a letter to the governor pledging unconditional support to BJP? This letter of unconditional support was the basis for the Governor's report to the centre based on which president's rule was revoked. JD(S) has rebuked even the highest seat of Indian democracy. If BJP signing the 12 point programme was mandatory, they should have got it from BJP before handing over the letter of support to the governor.
