The comparisons between Gujrat and Nandigram or Modi and Buddha are the outpourings of prejudiced minds and an exercise in prevarication. In Gujrat 10 Hindus were killed and another 16 injured in Police firing on the first day of rioting. On the second day 24 Hindus killed and 40 wounded in Police firing. In all 80 Hindus were shot dead and 207 wounded in Police firing. Shoot at sight orders were issued within 4 hours of the beginning of riots. Army was called on the second day itself.Compare this with Nandigram.4000 strong posse of Policemen sent to aid CPM cadre for "liberating" land from "enemy territory".Home Secretary declares territory as war zone. CM justifies mass murders, rape and plunder as paying back in the same coin. I agree. Army was sent to Gujrat. Why army is not being sent to Nandigram. Even CRPF is being withdrawn for cracking down on marauding biker gangs of CPM.
