The truth about Maryada Purushottama - the Perfect Man. 2
by Truth Knight on Nov 16, 2007 03:37 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

      3. Rama killed Vali, who had been known as a good and pious vanara-king, treacherously and deceitfully by interfering in a one-on-one fight between Vali and his younger brother Sugriva. (Sugriva had challenged Vali to the fight)
After Rama killed Vali, Sugriva (Vali%u2019s younger brother) claimed Vali's widow Tara and the monkey kingdom. For his help to Sugriva, Rama demanded help from Sugriva (and his general Hanuman) in his quest against Ravan.
Is this the work of a truly pious, moral man? Does a pious man treasonably kill someone to garner support for personal reasons from a "Monkey" who actually claims his elder brother%u2019s widow as his own? And to think of it, this person is worshipped by close to a billion people today. Shameful, to say the least!

4. Upon the return of "Lord" Rama to Ayodhya and being crowned the king of Ayodhya, the death of a child occurs in the kingdom. He is told that calamities such as this occur when Dharma (underlying order) is not followed in a kingdom. So, Rama personally beheads (executes) Shambuka %u2013 a person of the Shudra (untouchable) caste, because Shambuka was "repenting his sins" which apparently untouchables were not allowed to under the Varna system.
Is this a man of "high moral values"? For a reincarnate of "Lord of all the worlds" (Lord Vishnu) he was not just preposterously ignorant, he was also down-right caste-prejudiced. (Continued)
