Failed state
by Paul Rufus on Nov 13, 2007 05:28 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

WB is a failed state and the ideology they are following are of bygone era. Which looks good in books but not practical. Today WB donot have any industry and people are migrating to all over India and abroad looking for jobs that itself shows that state has failed. Any govt that ruled for 30 yrs straight with brute majority could have done wonders provided they had the will and right ideology.
These leaders they talk high and mighty but these guys are curse to any progressive society. In some mails people have mentioned that CM is a honest man, but that cannot be an excuse for following foolish ideology.

Also it is quite funny to see that some idiots of other states whose most of the leaders and politicians themselves are murderers, rapists, riotists, chor, ghotalabaz are commenting on Bengal, where the fight is going on for some very serious social & ideological issues not wretched issues of ghotala, bribes and randis!

This guy Paul Rufus is either an American stooge or a maoist one. He should shut up talking about Bengal and look at Bihar , UP, M.P. Rajasthan etc. especially the first two where chors and thugs have been in power for decades.

Yes, I am fr. Karnataka and it is well known what kind of political scenario with gowda clan ruling the roost. It may be worst the WB but it has more share of people from commie states then vice versa.
It not a social and Ideological fight as some foolish people are commenting it is the seed they have planted during these 30 yrs. Present CM wanted to do something and but he is not allowed ex CM only destroyed the state and did not bother about industralisation and hence never faced nandigram.

Little learning is a dangerous thing...
Situations 30yrs ago was not what you see today. The left front gov had to ensure little bit of bread and butter for all and then think of rapid industrialisation. And hence smooth panchyat system and good land reform arrangement. Not a single farmer had to commit suicide in Bengal like Karnataka, Andhra, Maharastra etc which is often in news. Nandigram was result of chaotic movement of the opposition party who misinterpret with the govt message and tried to gain political milage from errupted violence.
People in Bengal are more politically conscience than any other state and hence Left Front is in power for last 30years.Land Reforms and Panchayat system is amodel for rest of the country as declared by Central Govt and the World Bank....Bengal is the most preffered destination of Investors for last 2 yrs..Its in record in the parliament.

Don't comment unless you know the facts.

Well, Mr. Rufus, I have spend sizeable time in Karnataka too...not deviating from the context, we are proud to have cheapest education, chaepest cost of living and India's only nobel laureates n Oscar winners...do not compare a politically rotten, bribe-infected and common-man unfriendly state to ours...its true our political leadership made serious mistakes in the last 20 years and not there is an earnest effort to salvage them, but it is just the lust for power of one particular lady, which lead to this crisis...for if u do not know, the government had long announced that it would not forcibly acquire any land before the riots spurred up..coz it was more based on rumors and treachery..n its now just the retaliation of innocent farmers thatz showing up against the infiltrators...though its not the right way...
