CPM's misdeeds in Nandigram have come to the fore.. but they've been doing this in many other parts of West Bengal for decades now. They've systematically infiltrated and taken control of all institutions of society - civic, political and economic. They've filled with their supporters all kinds of associations and unions - govt employee unions, pvt sector employee unions, teachers' bodies, college governing boards, cable operators, STD booth owners, building material store owners.. the list goes on
throughout rural and small town west bengal, CPM cadres directly or indirectly control all aspects of livelihood.. one cannot buy land without their approval.. one cannot build houses without buying material from a CPM supporter's shop... one cannot open a shop unless he's okayed by the local party committee.. one cannot get a govt job unless recommended by a CPM office/functionary.. one cannot get loans from banks in rural areas unless CPM allows it.. one cannot get jobs in schools and colleges (even pvt) as the teacher's associations are controlled by CPM.. the election machinery on the ground has to be manned by local officers.. all methodically appointed from CPM ranks.. all elections have a minimum 15-20% margin built in favour of CPM simply by manipulations of electoral rolls, false voting, bogus IDs etc, even before election violence happens.

Mr.Das, i am horrified to the read your words about WB under CPM. If this is the state of affairs and readings about CPM colliding with Muslims from bengaladesh?? real trouble for whole of india!!! even though i donot fully support BJP's policies it seems it will do SOMETHING (not like useless manmohan singh who looks for sonia's ideas even to piss daily)
I pray to Devi Kali to save the bengalis from the cluches of this octopus of terror and breath the freedom.
