WB govt grabbed the land from poor farmers cheaply and handed it to MNCs to set up Industry. Is this what communists stand for in principal? Poor farmers are un-happy at the petty compensation they have been given. Here in this case party positions has been reversed. CPI(M) pro capitilist that too MNC's and anti- poor.

very true!!! How one can tolerate that gov is purchasing land @ very cheap rate and selling @ sky high rate to corporates.
I support the development but govt. should not behave like a businessman.
If people r not willing to sell their land, how can govt. force them, atleast in democratic country like india??????

when you develop such a big factory why do they chose a fertail land?? can't they have some dry land?? and with all the people dying what Ratan tata is doing?? (i live in tn and the images in the TV watching being surronded by gun men is horrible) does TATA really want that land?? from the BLOOD?
