You folks seem to be saying that you donot have time and hence you want me to write things in short. Well, if you donot have time to know something or to research about something in deep, all you get is half-knwoledge and this is even more dangerous rather than having no knowledge at all. So, please be patient rather than beating around bushes or try to spread hatred in forums like this in the name of maligning RSS etc.

You follow someone only after establishing a trust that was done only after careful evaluation. Also, following blindly is not adovacted by Vedic Scriptures at all. But, at the same time, you should also have trust to some extent. Its a delicate balance that one has to maintain by way of using ones own intuition. Hinduism never advocates to follow blindly, especially when it comes to knowing or realizing of ALL PERVADING DIVINITY OR GOD OR ALLAH OR PARAMATMA OR HEAVENLY FATHER. It affirms one to have personal experiences that will make one affirm the existence of ONE AND THE ONLY ONE TRUTH AND THAT TRUTH IS THAT GOD IS ONE, GOS IS GREAT AND Most Importantly, GOD IS EVERYWHERE.

If Allah, Ram or Heavenly father exists then Santa Claus too. Organized religion is a tool for exploiting the common man by politicnas, clergy and terrorists.

When you have personal experience of ALLAH OR GOD OR THE UNIVERSAL POWER THAT POWERS THIS ENTIRE UNIVERSE, INCLUDING YOU, ME AND EVERTYING IN THIS WORLD, then you will be humbled by it.
The moment religion comes between an individuality and the universalness or ALLAH OR GOD OR PARAMATMA OR HEAVENLY FATHER, then the troubles comes. After all, religion is just a set of rules (like a map to a traveler), but rreligion by itself is not the GOD OR ALLAH OR ALL PERVADING DIVINTIY.
Once you travel to your destination, you scrap the map that guided you, but if troubles are caused to you in between, because of following the map, then you either had diverted from what is said in the map(by way of misinterpreting it) or the map itself is incorrect and needs a reision of the map. In case of hte religions, most of the religions have been misinterpreted, or the subtle content was lost since people had focused much on the extra things rather than focussing on the DIVINITY itself.
Lets not account the religious texts for the mistakes that humanity did, but lets account the humanity for this (in particular those who misinterpreted these holy scriptures) and try to look in to the subtle meanings of the scriptures, by calming down our minds and by controlling our senses. This is the only way for us to proceed, and any other ways will lead only more and more troubles. This is the only scientific approach.

Dear Sridhar if it gives pleasure to u to realize the existence of a thing not existing then go ahead. I%u2019m against organized religion bcoz it has caused more harm than god. Let people believe in whichever god they want to but inside the 4 walls of the room. If religion comes on to the streets it causes mayhem

First of all, what is GOD OR ALLAH OR PARAMATMA OR HEAVENLY FATHER.
God (or refer to it by your own name as per thetendency of your mind) is defined as something that is all pervading in this creation and as well as beyond the creation.
But if you look from an individual persons perspective, in the initial stages one sees GOD as remotely located superior thing and will have a feel thatt his superior thing may be controlling things that are far beyond the comprehension of the self. In the intermidiary stages, the same individual perceives the GOD as superior and the individual sees self as part and parcel of the divintiy as well as will have the perception that the GOD is all pervading including in self and in everyone and in everywhere. Now, in the advanced or final stages, the same individuality doesnot have any feeling or perception of self as an individuality but as an all PERVADING DIVINITY that exists within and beyond the creation.
Its like, if you look from bottom of the building, you donot have a complete picture of what your visibility is, but as you progress up and up the building, you will get more and more visibility and at the peak point, you will have an omnipresent view. Divinity is also same. The secret to this realization is to calm down the mind and body, which is what the CORE ESSENCE of every religions is.

Sirji how can u reach something which doesn%u2019t exist can u tell me. God is just an imagination of weak people who hold on to god like a crutch. "It is said that men may not be the dreams of the Gods, but rather that the Gods are the dreams of men." - Carl Sagan "It may be that our role on this You know your god is man-made when he hates all the same people you do. --[from Usenet]
