hi one point everyone misses when talking of Gujrat is that, everyone looks at the majority vs minority. One simple question how did it all start? answer when a train was put on fire. An incident of such magnitude is bound to cause anger and frustration, the people in the train were brutally burnt alive.
This does not justify the killing of innocent people but at the same time should not be branded as a comunal violence. It should be termed more as a terrorist attack to dis honour the indian democracy.
One point people miss out is the timing of the attack if you look into the archive of newspapers around that time, you will notice that across the world the people were asking pakistan, and china to follow on indian footsteps. Well put 2 2 together you will begin to see the bigger game of plan. Therefore i request my fellow indians, guys look we already have other governments hostile to us, why make their work easier by fighting among ourself.
What we need is a unity between all faith and let no neta devide us on communal lines, at this point i will say Congress, and the left are not as secular as they claim against the BJP. Just that BJP supports or pretends to support one part of the society and the rest support or pretend again to the other.
Let us all unite together and make India the dream our freedom fighters cherished.

When indira gandhi was murdered, Rajiv Gandhi encouraged the riots on sikhs in delhi for three days as revenge. This was wrong. The same too cannot be justified on Gidhra train burning issue. In both the cases the rioters were not common men taking to streets and attacking the other community. They were party people. Not only those involved should be punished, but the police officials should be hanged for failing to do their duty and allow murders get commited in daylight and right in front of their eyes.

Anil we are again missing a point... who are the party people, they are part of the same country.
See when i saw we must all unite together and let no neta tell us what is right and wrong, it includes those party workers too. They should know what they are doing is not in their own interest in the long run. One person who is guiding them into wrong doing will gain but everyone else will lose.
At this point one must realise the reason why the politicians indulge in these activities-- that is because they see that by doing this they will get more votes.
If we can together give a replay that this kind of mentality will not work on us then it will automatically bring an end to this chaos.
One policy which i am against of the government is to provide roti, kapda aur makan.
Instead what government should provide job and everything else will automatically follow. We are not a developed contry so we have alot that can be done to improve the living standards of the poorest of the poor, which inturn is an avalanch effect.
I again stress we should think positively and not look down upon out country. This is our home we need to work together to improve it.
When you want to have a house you need to buy it and for that you have to work hard to earn money. India is the biggest house in which we all live in, let us build it together

The fact is simple. The burning of the train and the genocide that followed both are the responsibilities of the Govt. No politician or a corrupt official has ever been jailed in India. Sometimes it makes me wonder if we are going Pakistans way.

Arun you are right it is the responsability of the government. At the same time it is also the psychology of the masses which the politicians use from time to time for personal gains.
Today we need to realise ourselves what is right and what is wrong. We shouldn't listen to someone without any reasoning. If we still do then we have to also look inside ourselves.
Politician and corrupt official has not been jailed because we as a nation are divided on petty issues rather than focusing on issues which affect us all.
Remember constitutionaly india is a Union and not a Federation. Thus the system is a much more complex, look at the EU it comprises of one of the most developed nations but still there is alot of discontent among the people about it's functioning.
Our forefathers took the bold step to start from where the EU is now in terms of ideology. What that didnt foresee is that we needed time to evolve to actually understand that complex system.
I agree with you that the government has been incapcitated, but we should remember in a democracy we are the government as we elect the people. We need to make rational decision in bringing the right people to power if we are to achieve the dream we saw at the midnight hour.

by the way as for the last part if we are going the pakistan way..... well we are not going to because we are discussing it right here, it might not seem significant but these small discussions are what change the society. The change is slow but is there and in the end that is what matters.
One thing more we should realise when we say something about India. That is we all are part of the country, so be it us or an outsider. Whenever anyone underestimates us then he dirties all our clothes.
